Three Workshops + a celebration!
Congratulations Solar Year Cohort 1! Last Call for MAKE Time June!
MAKE Time, June - last call!
Friends, we begin tomorrow, Wednesday June 4th, bright and early, so this is really the last call for MAKE Time June… and for any MAKE Time for a little while. No MAKE Time in July! (I’ll resume in August.)
Reminder: if you’re a paid subscriber, you’re welcome to join MAKE Time once this year for free! Just write “paid subscriber” in the comment box when you register.
The first spin of Solar Year is complete!
Congratulations to the first cohort of Solar Year! While we missed some of our crew, most of us were able to gather in person last night for an astonishingly moving reading. I’m so proud of and humbled by these writers, and the substantial progress they made, each in their own way, on their books over the course of this year. Feel free to share your congratulations with them too!
Now enrolling for Solar Year, cohort 3!
“an essential watering hole in my journey of turning a tiny handful of poems into a draft of a book!”
“I committed to the novel I’d been running away from.”
“I’ve experienced a new method of writing that is questioning and exploring and pleasurable and courageous!”

DocuPoetry Lab
I’m delighted to be teaching my DocuPoetry Lab course through The Graham School for continuing education at The University of Chicago. We’ll be reading widely, and exploring personal, state, or other archives that intrigue us to create our own small or large research-infused projects. The possibilities are endless, and this approach balances somatic approaches to archival research with the intellectual. Monday evenings on Zoom, June 16-Aug 4. All are welcome. Details here. Registration closes soon!
